The chocolate cake is incredibly moist and the creaminess is just right—not too heavy. I served it for a dinner party and everyone asked for seconds.
The apricot layer between the sponge layers is what sold me, that tart bite keeps the whole thing from being too heavy. Sliced it thin with coffee and it lasted us almost a week.
The chocolate glaze has a nice snap when you cut into it, and the cake stayed moist even after two days in the fridge. Rich enough that one slice was plenty, which my wallet appreciated.
