The tin showed up looking festive enough to double as a gift box, so I didn't bother rewrapping it. Cookies were still soft the next day, and the assorted kinds meant everyone in the office found one they liked.
Sent this tin to my dad for his 70th and he actually called me about the cookies, which never happens. The assortment had enough variety that everyone at his little party found a favorite, and the festive tin is still sitting on his counter holding his tea bags.
The birthday tin was a nice touch for my dad's 70th, and the cookies inside stayed soft for the few days they lasted. Only thing is I wish the assortment had more chocolate ones and fewer of the plain butter cookies.
