Vi har gjort det igjen med vår Turtle Cheesecake laget etter en oppskrift rett fra Brooklyn. Det er en 10" kake med klumper av seige pekannøtter dynket i et lag karamell på toppen av en kremet cheesecake. Denne blandingen av kremost, nøtter og karamell er en ekte smaksopplevelse.
The 10-inch size was perfect for our dinner party of eight, and the caramel and pecan topping tasted freshly made rather than mass-produced. The cheesecake itself stayed creamy all the way through, no dry edges at all.
I was nervous about shipping a cheesecake, but it arrived perfectly chilled and the caramel layer stayed glossy and intact. The creamy filling isn't overly sweet, which lets the chewy pecan clumps really shine through. Already planning to order another for the holidays.
The pecans are the real star here—they stay chewy even after a few days in the fridge, and the caramel layer isn't overly sweet. The creamy cheesecake underneath balances it all out perfectly, so one slice actually feels like enough.
